Rod, Thank you for the info. I hope Doug sees this. He emailed me and thought the 2.3L did not come in until the 91 model year, if I remember his response correctly. I had the very definite impression that the 2.3L and DI were introduced at the same time. There may have been a few 2.0L engines with DI, but I can't remember anyone mentioning it.
