I agree with you Pep Boys employees are idiots! A couple of years ago I took my 1989 Ford Bronco there for a tune up. I asked the mechanic to check the idle speed and adjust it as it had been running too low. After an hour of waiting he was finished and said it was adjusted. It was not. It was the same as before. I later asked a friend who is a mechanic to have a try at it and he laughed at me and told me the idle speed on this truck is a factory set and can't be adjusted. I then looked under my hood to see what looked different and found that the IDIOT had used pliers or something else....maybe a vice grip pliers? to try to BEND/PRY the support arm that held the throttle cable BACK to make it run at a higher idle speed! And they did charge me some labor as well I think! Well I will never go back there again! What a MORON that guy was! Inside the store itself is no better. They suffer from the "Low Wage-Low Quality of Employee" syndrome many retailers are faced with. They are always looking for help but never pay enough to keep GOOD help! Again, they are idiots!
