Subject: "Check Engine" - Saab 900SE

I have just bought a 94' 900SE 2.5 V6. I have a problem with one of the indicators. There are many indicators on the dash board, in which one is called 'Check Engine'. Other indicators will normally extinguish after a while, except this 'Check Engine' indicator. However, it extinguishes as well if the engine is started. The manual says this 'check engine' indicator will be on if there is a problem with the injection system. Could anybody tell me if there is really something wrong with the injection system, or if it is just a faulty indicator? Alfred 94' 900SE 91 9000CD 2.3T
