I am still driving my first turbo and I can see why you never had a problem. You read the owner's manual and take the time to properly warm up and cool down your engine. If you care about the car, you probably would take the time to cool the engine down. If you lease the car, knowing you are going to turn the car back in with only 30K miles, who cares if the turbo dies at 60K. These people would say that it is someone else's problem now. That may be where turbos get their reputation for problems. >
