I recently wanted to install an amp and two 12" Blaupunkt Subs in my = car, and unfortunately I found out that it might be a little difficult. = I removed the head unit and found that there are no pre outs or RCA = outputs (the L and R outs) . I have a '95 900SE, which means that there = is an extra 80 watt amp that powers the speakers in the front doors, = since your's is an SE too then it should have that amp too. That amp is = connected to the head unit on the upper right-hand side of the stereo by = what I think was an 8-pin connector. I have no idea if you can get an = adapter or make one to plug in other amps. I don't know if you're going = to have it professionally installed, but if you or the installers want = to look at the stock premium stereo amp to see if there are any in/outs = there, it's located, I think, behind the glovebox.=20 As for CD-players. I bought an aftermarket Clarion CD-Changer. = You, unfortunately can't use any Clarion cd-player, you have to get = either the RDC-634 or the CDC-635 model. This is because those cd = players are the only ones that the prewired Saab connector cable will = fit. The RDC is cheaper than the CDC because it has a digital output, = but otherwise there is no real difference in sound quality. The only = thing about these cd-players, as well as with the stock Saab cd-players, = is that you can't play burned cd's on them. The prewired cable is = located behind the carpet on the left side. The cable should be either = almost next to and under the power antenna or near the floor. The cable = is covered with a black rubber tip and is bundled with some other = cables. If you're going to install the cd player yourself--> To remove = the carpet, you have to take apart the speaker assembly, and then pull = out the carpet until you can see and reach down into that area.=20 Anyways, I hope this helps! =20 Chris N.=20 '95 900SE=20 ------=_NextPart_000_004D_01BF99B8.66375E00 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 = http-equiv=3DContent-Type><!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 = transitional//en"> <META content=3D'"MSHTML 4.72.3110.7"' name=3DGENERATOR> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>Can't play any burnt CDs?? = </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2></FONT><FONT size=3D2>Are you = sure?</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=3D2>:Lars</FONT></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE=20 style=3D"BORDER-LEFT: #000000 solid 2px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; PADDING-LEFT: = 5px"> <DIV><A=20 = href=3D"mailto: T.COM></A>=20 wrote in message <<A=20 = href=3D"mailto: snet.com</A>>...</DIV>I=20 recently wanted to install an amp and two 12" Blaupunkt Subs in = my car,=20 and unfortunately I found out that it might be a little = difficult.  I=20 removed the head unit and found that there are no pre outs or RCA = outputs=20 (the L and R outs) .  I have a '95 900SE, which means that = there is an=20 extra 80 watt amp that powers the speakers in the front doors, since = your's=20 is an SE too then it should have that amp too.  That amp is = connected=20 to the head unit on the upper right-hand side of the stereo by what = I think=20 was an 8-pin connector.  I have no idea if you can get an = adapter or=20 make one to plug in other amps.  I don't know if you're going = to have=20 it professionally installed, but if you or the installers want to = look at=20 the stock premium stereo amp to see if there are any in/outs there, = it's=20 located, I think, behind the glovebox.=20 <P>As for CD-players.  I bought an aftermarket Clarion=20 CD-Changer.  You, unfortunately can't use any Clarion = cd-player, you=20 have to get either the RDC-634 or the CDC-635 model.  This is = because=20 those cd players are the only ones that the prewired Saab connector = cable=20 will fit.  The RDC is cheaper than the CDC because it has a = digital=20 output, but otherwise there is no real difference in sound = quality. =20 The only thing about these cd-players, as well as with the stock = Saab=20 cd-players, is that you can't play burned cd's on them.  The = prewired=20 cable is located behind the carpet on the left side.  The cable = should=20 be either almost next to and under the power antenna or near the=20 floor.  The cable is covered with a black rubber tip and is = bundled=20 with some other cables.  If you're going to install the cd = player=20 yourself--> To remove the carpet, you have to take apart the = speaker=20 assembly, and then pull out the carpet until you can see and reach = down into=20 that area.=20 <P>Anyways, I hope this helps! =20 <P>Chris N.=20 <P><I>'95 900SE</I> </P></BLOCKQUOTE></BODY></HTML> ------=_NextPart_000_004D_01BF99B8.66375E00--
