Subject: Odometer from 304K to 406K in 490kms

My odometer has decided that it has had enough of people amazed at its high reading (of around 304K kms) and has decided to stun them with a new feat! Last time I checked my odo, it read 304056 km. Since then, I've driven around 490 km. Magically, my odo has jumed up to 406k! Any ideas? I was thinking of selling the 87 900, but this new apparent mileage may be disheartening to potential buyers. The car is in great shape cosmetically, but the money I've spent on repairs lately (new cylinders, clutch... -- and repairs as a result of incompetent work done by idiots on top of it all) makes me think that it probably did have 300k on it last week. Is there a way to turn it back? It seems stuck three quarters past the 3 in the hundreds of thousand column, but has no reason to because it is still at zero in the tens of thousands!
