The shocks are compatible, if not the same. I will not disagree but point out that the performance on the front end is vastly different. The 900 suffered from limited travel and was prone to damage from ordinary(!) NYC potholes. 3 repairs in 3 years. The 9-3 takes the same roads with nary a complaint. BTW, this also was the example given in the 9-3 brochure to indicate the differences between the 900 and the 9-3. I could not agree more. Kal
