Its just a result of a lot of play in the joint, so on heavy accel or decel the slop in the joint gets taken up and the two shafts clunk together. Anyway, since you have front wheel drive I'm guessing its the CV joints doing the same thing. But I haven't had a personal experience to back that up so I can't guarentee it. Its worth looking at though, I think. By the way, I'm pretty sure bad CV joints accounts for the clicking when you turn. mark
