Subject: buying an '87 900 Turbo S - advice please...

hello, i am new to the n/g. i am looking at buying an '87 Saab 900 Turbo S with the 5 spd manual and 110,000 miles on it, and was wondering what anyones opinion was about it. any things i should look for that would be signs of impending doom? i looked it over, checked the engine oil (normal, clean clear-dark-brown), the tranny oil (looked not as clear, but clean lighter brown), and generally looked over the engine bay. i drove it and it feels pretty good - responsive steering, clean power flow to wheels, no sluggishness, good turbo response, and tranny seems in good order. the interior has mild cracking on the dashboard (will probably ignore) and mild deterioration of the leater seats (some Amor-all should help), but no real cracking (not all the way through). body looks pretty good, no "glaring" dents, little/no rust showing. what would be a fair price for a car like this? i looked up Kelly blue book and (if i looked it up correctly) it showed a purchase value of $3900 (US). the dealer always has his cars listed on the low side, and he has the Saab listed for $2395. thanks. -- Nate t. G.
