The Idle valve is a fairly common problem. It can clogg up with goo or just get a little worn. It is like a motor that turns maybe 1/5 of a turn from shut too open. The costeffective motorist can open it and clean it . I did. It is not easy too open though. It is not intended . So you have too use some violence. Use a fine emery on the commutator for the "motor" too and put a little drop of oil in the bearings. After this it will work for a few more years.
