Yup. Agreed. Only snake oil has properties good enough to produce that kind of efficiency :-) I disagree on your second point, though. I think they should be illegal. Illegal advertizing and misinformation thrown all about makes us, the consumer, sometimes quite confused and misinformed. Sure, it's easy too look at this geet thing and laugh, but what about oil additives? They sold like wildfire! But, they were useless - especially the ones with teflon that were actually harmful... It's hard enough wading through semi-legit information (i.e. performance specs of a product as determined by the manufacturer) to find what's best, and I'd prefer not to mix in pure crap with this if possible.
