|
| What the project aims to do
|
| 1. Assist small and medium enterprises in the automotive and aerospace
| industries to readily adopt Internet technologies appropriate to their
needs
| 2. Generate discussion about good practice between compatible companies,
| thereby releasing the potential of the knowledge and expertise that has
| developed within British industry.
|
| Benefits for participants
|
| Participants will improve their competitive advantage by:
|
| 1. Learning to use the Internet to find valuable information and
resources,
| communicate with others, and developing their online profile.
| 2. Rapidly improving their competitive edge by adapting current good
| practice to their own business.
| 3. Gaining a stronger business network
|
| How is this done?
|
| 1. Companies not yet online will be connected to the internet and where
| appropriate be assisted to get the most out of their computer.

| engineering journals, databases and resources.
| 3. Staff of SMEs will participate in online discussions about industry
| relevant issues, and generate a network to allow quick problem solving.
|
| This is an unprecedented opportunity to participate in the design of an
| online system to meet the specific needs of your industry.
| Participating companies will help us to improve the health of the whole
of
| their industry!
