The 1997 will be a much better car overall. It has better build quality, less glitches, and a true Saab motor. The 1994 was the first year for the NG900. It has a Vauxhall motor, not a Saab. Go with the '97 for more trouble-free motoring than the '94. Paul (Remove "spamthis" to reply)
