Subject: Trip Computer MPG and Fuel Left 999



I have a 91 9k, the trip computer does not work.  The miles per gallon is
displayed as 99 and mile to empty is shown as 0.  When I reset the display,
the miles to empty is shown as a reasonable figure, but the mpg number is
incorrect.  After the car is turned off, the display returns to the
incorrect numbers upon restarting.

The temperature and voltage readings are correct.

Any solutions?

Would replacing the clock/computer control center fix the problem?
