If your looking for the older classic 900 I say '86. I have a black '86 turbo that I love more than life. She has 135000 mi. and another 135000 to come. The '85's can be a problem. They didnt have a good electical system and can become an ongoing headache. The only other real problem older cars Ive come across have been the '92 and '93 900's. (not including the turbos, they are beautiful) Saab put a 2.1 liter engine in them that pretty much needs a new head gasket every 30,000 miles without fail. Good luck. If this will be your first saab it will become you religon. Every saab owner is a little nuts!
