There is a bleed vent for the coolant system on top of the thermostate housing you can open (when cool) and see if any air comes out- and -you'll love this one- turn the heater on full blast when its reading hot to see if it has an effect on the temp of the car. If you see a change, you have a flow problem like the other post indicate.
