Visit www.saabnet.com. All of your questions will be answered. Specifically, the ballpark price depends on the condition, options, and currency. Can't specify for you. Check the classifieds at The Saab Network for models similar to what you're looking into. SPG = Special Performance Group. Extra stuff to make it go faster, handle better... For an 86, check the seat bladders (rubber supports under the front seats), check the headliner (the material on the interior of the roof), make sure the CV boots have no tears or cracks, make sure the clutch grabs quickly, have it checked fully by someone who knows SAABs, esp. SPGs. Make sure the AC works, etc., etc.,.... Don't be afraid of the pads and rotors job, it's simple if you're so inclined. Good luck, you'll likely love the SPG. -chris In article <38fdc3a9.12409000nopsam.together.net>, vthomesnopsamther.net wrote: > Looking to buy my first Saab and have found an '86 900 turbo with 160K > miles that the owner says needs pads and rotors. > > I have a dozen questions, but my first is "Is there a FAQ for this > newsgroup?" > > Is there a ballpark price for this model? > > Are there trouble spots that I should be sure to look out for in a > vehicle of this age? > > ... and what does SPG mean? > > Any help appreciated. > > Mike > > Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
