To everyone who has helped me with information on replacing the head on my '85 900T, a big 'thank you'. It's finally done: the car runs (started with one turn of the key in fact). But (of course there's a 'but'), now I don't seem to have proper vacuum at idle (needle on boost gauge is high), and it doesn't seem to want to give any boost. So... what's going on? I can think of three possibilities: 1) I destroyed a turbo and a head at the same time (seems unlikely) 2) Vacuum leak (but I wouldn't think this would prevent boost) 3) Engine computer is quite confused and will straighten things out sooner or later Do any of these sould plausible to the experts, or do you think it's something else?
