Subject: Saab 9-5 Wagon - Yeas and Nays

However, I am on my 3rd (count them) computer. The dealership says this is unprecidented, so I'd take the raves over my experience (unless anyone else has had 3 ECUs). As far as the software, they seem to get updates monthly from SAAB, so I'd say everytime you take it in for an oil change ask them to reprogram it. WRT the door locks, that's still there, just tell them to enable it. Anyway, my car does the following (or at least has done) that has required new computers: I will drive from Bellevue, where my office is, into Seattle, where my wife works in stop and go traffic for about 30 mins. Then I shut off the car and wait (sometimes waaaaaay too long) for my wife to get out of her office. Then I start the car and drive about 10 mi. to the very nifty grocery store and we go in and by food. Then we come out and it won't start. It's very embarassing to sit in a $40k car and have it not start. Anyway, the dealership says it is a very very very unique problem. Is there someone out there who can make it not so unique? As you can see, I spend too much time in my car as it is - which is why I got such a comfortable, versatile, and nice car. Otherwise I would have stuck with my 86 Honda - which didn't have this problem, but sure was uncomfortable. Jim Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
