Subject: re-send re: radio problem 88 900 turbo

ok. 1st - just bought a saab 900 turbo '88 2 days ago, i hope i love it as much as i do now in a year or so. short version of radio problem - 1) has clarion tape am/fm w/EQ 2) tried to use tape deck - wouldn't play 3) wouldn't eject 4) yanked out radio (the thing just popped right out ??) 5) took off the face, removed stuck tape 6) re-inserted unit, entered code (which the previous owner so graciously wrote on the unit (thanks guy) 7) unit tried to play tape though there was no tape in it 8) got bored of trying to fix it and wondered what would happpen if i entered wrong code. 9) can't figure out how to enter right code 10) due to my whimsical need to hear otis redding singing "these arms of mine" i now have a radio that won't switch to radio mode, and beeps and flashes a wrong sec. code everytime i turn it on ...should i just update the system and install a new radio w/cd or do i keep the thing in it's original condition and try to fix the old clarion (i *could* tolerate just waiting to get home to hear my fav. cd's) and, lastly, i'd kinda like to have a manual just to read it for the basic care, etc. Thanks for any help you can provide ~John Higgins III * Sent from AltaVista Where you can also find related Web Pages, Images, Audios, Videos, News, and Shopping.
