I had a similar problem. It was caused by a crack in the loop that connects to the bolt that connects to the motor. You can try tightening it for a while, but eventually it's doomed to fall off. I'd suggest flipping the nut cover up and seeing if it's the same problem. If it is, buy the new arm. It's a lot less expensive to buy a new arm now than it is to buy the blade, arm and all else when it pops off on the highway.
