Subject: Re: 9-5 - Abnormal Tyre wear???

In general it is possible to wear the tyres outside edge quickly by hard cornering, but you said that you drive gently ? How gently do you drive ? The tracking may be out, but I expect that any Saab main dealer should have proper tracking equipment. A tracking fault is usually felt in the steering. The car should feel directionally stable and not have any tendency to veer off course. Is the excessive wear symmetric between both front tyres ? The question is difficult because tyres can last from 10000 to 50000 miles dependent on driving.
