My 88 900i is fine apart from a problem with second gear. Every time I shift down and the revs are 2K or higher it will grate and skip out as if I do not have the clutch all the way down. Its fine in every other gear, its just second thats a problem. There was some repairs done about a week ago as the gear stick had become very loose, it was just three bolts which needed tightening, could this have something to do with it. Any Ideas? Would changing the gearbo oil help? Matt
