Make sure that you not only wait to purchase a used one that's been well maintained, but also make sure that you're conveniently located near a GOOD, friendly, and reputable service shop that KNOWS SAABS. Saabs are NOT put together like most cars, and someone who does not know what they're doing can cause more damage to your car than they fix. Saabs require ... ahem ... diligent maintenance, if you're like me and aren't inclined to do more than appropriate monitoring yourself (like checking fluid levels, etc), then you'll need a handy, and trustworthy, service tech nearby. You may find this at a dealership. You may not. If you really are posting from Sweden, then I don't think you'll have a problem there 8-). If, like me, you live in Canada, then a good place to start is scaring up the mechanics who worked on Saabs prior the great GM switchover (most of them still do), or asking through the local Saab club or something. Saabs are not cars to own if you have no service support nearby (in my opinion). -- Viktor Haag Senior Technical Writer, RIM '79 99, '89 9000T, '00 9-3 SE My opinions are my own, only.
