Fixed!! Like I always say, a good kick in the ass will usually fix anything! Actually, it wasn't a kick. It seems the door was not closed all the way, but the latch was still holding tight. I gave it a good whack from the inside of the door and it opened a little. From there the lock worked fine. Hope this will fix your problem too!
