I haven't had a recurrence since, but the weather hasn't settled into the middle temperatures where the problem became most noticeable. I did find that when the problem occurred, you could usually fix it by cycling through each mode of operation -- defrost, dash vents, floor vents, and the combinations thereof -- and remaining in each mode for a few seconds before changing it, then cycling the system off, waiting a few seconds, and pressing AUTO. This seemed to reset the mixer doors and reboot the A/C so it would work properly until it got confused again. It seemed most prone to the problem on moderate days (60°F - 75°F) on prolonged trips. -- Rob Levandowski roblnopsamhiz.com
