I drive a 85, Saab 900 turbo, 5 speeds Manual. When I shift to second gear, as soon as I release the accelerator or press the clutch pedal, The transmission jump out of gear to neutral. The previous owner had stuck a piece of nylon between the shifter ball bearing and the retainer plate. This result in a very stiff stick shift and sore arm when i drive in heavy traffic. Any clue?
