Subject: Re: Blower motor transitor blown? Procedure? Help!!!

Brad, I have never taken one of these modules apart, nor does my Bently "manual" have diagrams to even show an ACC system on the car. IF there are no other boxes between the ACC contol module in the dash, then take that apart and look for a device mounted to a heat-sink. There may be two, one a voltage regulator, the other the power transistor. A simple ohmeter check between the leads (there should be a total of 3) of the power transistor will show a direct short between at least two of the leads (try all combinations of leads with reversing your meter leads on each pass through the combinations). That is the device you need to replace. Radio Shack or some of the on-line electronic (try NTE or ECG) will have a cross for you as long as the part number is not some OEM number. JC In article <8hp9q3$p63$1nopsam1.deja.com>, bradschroeternopsameja.com says... > so can anyone tell me how to replace the transistor yet? it looks like > i need to do both fan and transistor but i dont have a clue how to do > this...like a radio shack part and where it actaully is...please help > and thanx for all the help! > > brad
