The electronic module probably went because the fan motor is about shot. I learned that the expensive way - I replaced the module (with a used one, of course) and the replacement promptly blew. After I installed a new motor and again replaced the speed control module, it has worked fine for more than two years. The electronic module appears to be a pretty crude design by today's standards, and it can't handle the electrical garbage resulting from worn out brushes. bradford wrote: > > Can someone give me a semi detalied procedure and fx to get to and > replace the power transistor for the blower motor in a 88 9000T. my fan > is always blowing on High and I was told that the solution lies in the > transistor for the blower motor...any other thoughts...please > help...also does a squeeling high pitched noise occure when the fan is > going dead?
