I'd agree that the 9-5 SE V6 automatic does not unnecessarily hunt for 
low gears in normal use.  If you activate Sport mode by pressing the "S" 
button on the shifter, the transmission will hunt for the lowest 
possible gear at the slightest provocation, but that's intentional, and 
usually the desired effect of being in Sport mode :)
