Hi, My turbo blew up on me last night as i was driving up the M4 to Bath. Whilst chatting with the man from the AA, he suggested that instead of buying a replacement saab turbo unit, i should get the turbo unit for a ford XR3 instead. According to him they are the same!!?? Can anyone confirm this, i've been quoted a price of £500.00 (supply and fit) for a reconditioned saab turbo unit (12 month guarantee). Obviously if there's a cheaper option i'd like to know what it is. BTW my car is 1992 Saab 900 LPT Aero. (Last year i added an APC and Intercooler).
