hi, I paid $3,500 and this is what I got: 91 900s 5-speed 2.3l 141,000 miles Before I bought the car, I took it to Greico Bro.s an independent Saab mechanic in North NJ. After a 2 hour inspection he said that I need an upper Motor mount ($100) and two front ball joints ($200). thats all the car needs for now to get it in perfect condition. I love this car...its a GREAT 1st car, but I have some gripes. the driver's side seat heater doesnt seem to work, at night, half the dashlights in the radio and the light in the passenger's side seat heater switch doesn't work. I don't know how to drive a manual Trans. but my friend taught me and I picked up quickly... can anyone give me some general tips. I plan to maintain this car well so I can keep it past 200-250k miles. the exterior is FLAWLESS...no accident or resprays. the driver's seat leather is starting to crack. (how do I prevent that?) oh and when I'm driving...right after I shift from 3rd to 4th (under normal acceleration) the shift light tells me to shift up to fifth. I'm totally new at this and I've been shifting around 3000-3500 rpm (basically following the light) Tell me what you think...did I get a good deal? Thanks in advance. T.Ghosh Saabist in the making
