A brief sloshing about, as the car corners or hits a bump, will be neither here nor there; the oil will quickly re-immerse the works. Prolonged inversion will be different: oil can drain off surfaces, out of cracks and crevices, generally lay things bare. My 2 new pence (2000 model). -- Andrew Stephenson
