The situation: Start the car. Drive off. Anywhere from 2 minutes to 15 minutes later, the car will die (with either a silent expiration or a bit of gagging and choking). Restarting attempts are either immediately effective (in which case the above gagging and choking may or may not be repeated within 2-5 minutes) or require determined restarting attempts over a period of up to 10 minutes (in which case (one case so far) I took it home so fast that I have no idea if it would have died again). The times that it was successfully revived and driven past it's "gag reflex", it performed properly (45 minutes on the highway and then 10 minutes through downtown traffic. Those afternoons, the commute home was infrequently subject to the "choking and gagging" phenomenon.) This appeared in Spring weather. The one day that none of this happened it was above 80F and it hadn't rained in a week. I have no idea if that is a factor or not. The next day, with the same weather, it was back to gag-and-choke. I'm thinking fuel filter or something-to-do-with-the-choke. Any ideas, experiences, would be GREATLY appreciated :) Thanks! Angel Foxworthy
