I am considering buying a pressure washer to help keep the car clean, however I have seen on a web site that it was not recommended to use a pressure washer as it cut through the polish and also acted as a sand blaster for any grit already on the car. My questions are : 1) Is this true 2) If not any recommendations for suitable washers available in the UK ( a work colleague suggested anything by Karcher due to the ease of obtaining spares) 3) Any tips for keeping the bodywork in top condition - I currently clean the car with a normal hose and a proprietory car shampoo, occasionally using Autoglym car polish (I have a metallic). 4) When I have had the car valeted what is the stuff they squirt on the car before washing which seems to make all the dirt just run off and can you buy it. Thanks for your help. Andrew
