BTW - I forgot to mention not just one cup holder but TWO. (Sorry.....couldn't resist) > I owned a 900 for 16 years and test drove the 850. I miss my 900, I liked it better than the 9000 as far as repairs go, but I like the 9000 roomier interior better. To me the ride is the same, the handling just a tinge different in the 9000 but still like a Saab, dead accurate. > I did not buy an 850. Did you try the 750? That is supposed to be better for the things I mentioned. I haven't yet, but I will. I like driving all types of vehicles and comparing them. > Volvo should have stuck rear wheel > drive models - that is where they made their reputation. You thinks so? I always thought it was more a safety thing myself, since the old Volvos aren't much to look at. I've heard the 2001 Cross-Country rides very well and is a good vehicle, but I'm not the station wagon type. Also, I don't know if I'm alone in my thinking that Saabs are just not the same since the introduction of the 9-3 and the 9-5. They just don't have the same feel as the olders Saabs do. I suppose once GM got in there it's all Americanized. Same with Ford and Volvo.
