I seem to have a burning plastic or rubber smell that enters the car through the ventilation system when I accelerate in reverse up an incline. Does anyone know if this is a normal occurance in the 1995 Saab S or is something very wrong. I thought it might be the grinding of the clutch. (I'm certain this cannot be good) If I reverse on a flat surface, I do not notice any problem. Also, the parking break doesn't seem to hold when facing downhill but does hold when parked uphill. Does the parking cable tension need to be replaced? Mechanic Novice, Phillip Berkeley, CA
