Steve, this has been(?) a huge problem on the 9-5 control panel. I thought it was solved some time during MY00. Your workshop should be able to tell you if your car is built before/after the chassis number where a 'fix' was intoduced. I don't think that the workshop will ignore your problem (not knowing what it is). Let your workshop show if thay are any good or not, and ask for the chassis number limit! In the US the warranty is longer than in Europe, I understand. In Europe (1 year warranty) Saab have extended the warranty for this problem, I believe.
