Well I drive a zenith carbed 2-dr 99 which i find quite acceptable acceleration wise, but carb 900's are fairly sluggish, 100hp for a fairly heavy car. I'd try getting a full tuneup first though, and check the timing. Also the pierburg carb is more for emissions then performance.
