got in my 88 9000T the other day and I noticed the rmpms screams to about 4 1/2 instantly and just stayed there...so i thought it might be the idle becuase I had problem with my AIC...i cleaned it out useed a little wdd40..the valve was working just perfectly anyway..no trick...so i figured if it would be the idle i could just drive the car anyway and deal with the high idle..started the car and put it into 1st and statred going...after awhile i relaized i didnt even need any gas..the car was driving by its frikin slef...and when i put in the clutch the rpms went sky high again..i check the throttle cable and actual pedal and everything is fine...i have heard of something called a throttle positioning switch..could this be it...whats the deal?please help u guys are great...out of all the problems im had this is the strangest.. brad Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
