Ok. => There is no base boost level. Yep. => Wastegate is ok. There is a problem with the APC valve => Replace APC-valve. Hopefully there has not been a short circuit in the valve that has damaged the ECU (if so, you will not have more than base boost with the new APC valve). > > About 6,000 miles ago I experienced a problem with no boost. Does this sound like they replaced the APC? If so, do Yes, APC-valve is the "old" name for it (The name "APC" does not exist on new cars since this system is integrated in the new management system, Trionic). Now, some people prefer to refer to it as the BPC valve (Boost Pressure Control), or simply "boost control solenoid". I definitely think it should last longer than 6000 miles. Talk to your dealer about this. Its hard to tell what causes it to fail. Sometimes its dirt than makes them jam (and burn), and occasionally they just fail.... > you know if that is the going price for an APC? Yes, I think the price is ok (they *are* expensive), but to be sure, check some other companies that can provide parts for your Saab (check www.saabnet.com) If you have another car as well, move the APC valve from your old car to your new car, just to be absolutely sure (there really is no question about it but...) that it is the APC-valve. Do not install the faulty APC valve in your old car (it may brake things...). Best Regards, Mathias > > Thanks again, > Jeff > > > > > >
