Manufacturers can specify as a condition of warranty any of a number of things. They can specify parts sources, and they can require repairs be done by factory-authorized shops. That's not to say that Saab has such requirements. But there is no federal law that forbids it, either. A warranty does have to be issued in "good faith," and it might be argued that requiring factory parts violates that spirit. You may or may not prevail with that argument in court.
