Subject: 85 900 T no spark, no fuel pump

We have an 85 900 Turbo, did have intermittent electrical problem, now pretty dead. Did have two problems, sometimes while driving, the engine would quit, tach drop immediately to zero, then would come right back after maybe 1 second. Other problem was sometimes car would not start (usually when hot) or even try to start. Just crank. Then 10-15 minutes later, it would be fine and start and run. Now it's dead. I have a timing light connected to the coil wire. Turn ignition on and then off, it flashes. Crank and no flashing, indicating no spark. No fuel pump power either. Wire from low side of relay coil goes to pin 17 on LH computer, which should ground the wire to turn fuel pump on. Resistance is 20 ohms when key off, drops a bit to maybe 7-8 ohms when cranking. 12 V appears on BOTH sides of relay coil, indicating computer is not switching fuel pump on. There is power to the ignition control module. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Charles. -- Charles Stoyer Golden CO
