Car has 110,000 miles on it and I am very worried the AC compressor has gone. This last week I have noticed a weird sound of some type of intermittent hissing (air escaping) ((sounds like............w o oooshh ....on..... woooshhh... off )) coming from the dash area. Today it was about 82 degrees and I noticed the AC would not cool the car down at all. Do I possibly need a freon charge?? or new compressor. If its a compressor I'm trading it as I heard an AC compressor fix sets you back $1000 bucks. Any others have this?? Thanks in advance!!
