Could any one advise me on what to do about the following problem; I have a '93 9000 cse and what happens is that when I turn the ignition key on I get the check engine light as normal, but after a few seconds it goes off and then starts to flash, 3 times and then a pause before repeating again, I can start the engine and the car seems to run normaly with the check engine light not coming on, I have been in touch with the saab garage I bought the car from and they say it is nothing to worry about as long as it does not come on when the engine is running, but it is nagging me as I do not think that it should be doing this. Also I have heard that there is an alternater problem which tends to occur at around the 60k mark, could some one enlighten me on this? Thanks for any help, David
