Subject: Re: 9-5 Aero Wagon performance on light snow?

Likely no more fun than driving any car with performance tires in the snow. I bought a set of snow tires for my 900 turbo and couldn't find a road that stopped my Saab in 3-4 in of snow. I have read on the Saab Network (www.saabnet.com/tsn.html) of people who have driven on the stock Z-rated tires in snow and didn't get into major trouble, but it wasn't a terribly thrilling experience. If you buy or have a car as nice as a 9-5 Aero, spend a couple of hundred dollars for snow tires on steel take-off wheels and drive with confidence in bad weather. Plus, you save your alloy wheels in the event that you skid into a curb.
