I have a 92 900S convertible and noticed how the temp guage would run 3/4 quite frequently. This is my second Saab and both have electrical "quirks". There are actually two fans. Have your mechanic check the fan switches. I replaced the switch on mine and the temp guage never goes over 50% now. I live in Macon, Georgia so the temp on the outside here in comparable to yours. Enjoy the car! I dislike the 1994 bodystyle and opted for the classic "roach" as its called.
