Whats the deal??? Do these engines eat timing belts??? >Any info would be appreciated..... Alex, Timing belt change interval on 94-96 900/9000 V-6 is 30K starting at 35K. Saab will pay (if done at a dealer) for the first 3 (35K, 65K, 95K) if done + or - 5K of the interval (ie 30K-40K, 60K-70K, 90K-100K) After that, it is customers responsibility. 1997 interval is 60K starting at 65K. Saab buys one belt only at 65K, + or - 5K. There was no 1998 V-6. 1999-2000 9-5 V-6 is 60K starting at 60K. Saab buys one belt only at 60K, + or - 5K. DO THE BELT AT THE INTERVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A broken belt is a horrible and ugly thing. The valves/heads WILL be destroyed and possibly the short block. Expect a bill of $5K and up for this type of repair. Good luck, Steve Crowe, ASE CMAT/L1, Saab Master Level Tech Harpers Ferry, WV scrowenopsamink.net
