The 87 9000S I bought in December 97 had Pioneer speakers installed in the rear, and they are in phase. After I had my Clarion rehabbed at the factory, the system sounded even better. I hear people complain about how their sound system works. I was an Air Force Broadcaster for over 14 years. Between headphones, studio speakers and few stereo systems I have owned, I think I have a fair idea when a system sounds good or not.
