Subject: Re: 9000 Aero Problem

Since this thread has turned into one about spark plugs I had a question along those lines. At my 65k mileage major service my Saab dealer replaced the NGK BCPR7ES plugs in my 94 Aero with the NGK BCPR6ES plugs. When I questioned this he referred me to a Saab Service Information bulletin 340-2030 which recommends the 6ES plugs. The bulletin referenced the 170hp B235E engine but the mechanic said it applied across the board. The 6ES are hotter plugs that were supposed to address long cranking periods before the engine starts. Should I replace the 6ES with the 7ES? Are there any disadvantages to the hotter plugs in the Aero engine? Thanks, Jeff Mathias <af_RGnopsamnt.ser> wrote in message news:39AAA9C0.78629060nopsamnt.ser... > The first thing to check is the plugs.
